Networking Day Clonmel 2008

It's only a few days away and preparations are just about finalised. We are expecting up to have up around 70 people representing four stations in attendance. I am looking forward to meeting you all hope we have an informative and enjoyable event.

I thought that the day was a great success. It's amazing how much effort and dedication went into getting hospital radio in this country off of the ground and how much is still going into it today to fuel it's growth.

Can't wait to see the pictures from the day. Will they be going up somewhere on the site?

Hi All. My name is Marguerite White & I'm involved in CUH FM. I present my own radio programme every Saturday @ tea-time. I'm involved with CUH FM 16 years since last month/october (I can't remember which). In November 2007 I was elected on to the programme committee & was re-elected for a 2nd term/year last month .

Like Laura, I also thought the day in Clonmel was a great success & long over due - a lot of organising went in to same to make the day a great success for all . The idea of having a training day for each individual station in the new year (2009) is a very good idea to get some professional ideas - even though I'm involved 16 years already, there's still things I could probably learn or things I could do better etc & I'm sure it's the same for others.......

Hello Margeurite

I think most of us will benefit from the training. Your managemment in Cork are vey keen to have the training event as soon as possible, they are aiming for a Saturday in mid to late January 2009.

I have had discussions with the company providing the training and all that really needs to be finalised is a date suitable to all parties. I will post the details for all training sessions on this site when I have them.

Hi Laura the pictures will be on the site soon, I had them on it on Sunday but ran into some technical problems . As soon as I get the time I will get them back up.
